Holy Idol is an upcoming drama based on a web novel and it is directed by Park So Yeon starring Kim Min Kyu, Lee Jang Woo, Tak Jae Joon, Go No Byeol, and Ye Ji Won.
The drama tells the story of a man called Pontifex Rembrary and he is considered to be the most powerful. While he’s on a mission of taking down demons, he finds himself in the otherworld but in a different body (Woo Yeon Woo’s body) a member of a failing Idol group called ‘Wild Animal’.
Yeon Woo has been in the group for 3 years. Pontifex Rembrary who is now in the body of Yeon Woo went on stage to perform with the ‘Wild Animal Group’. Suddenly, he shouts in a loud voice saying “I don’t know how to dance” which of course caused a great scenario at the broadcast station this becomes the centre of attention to everyone and the media as a result, he becomes famous even the failing group called ‘Wild Animal Group’.
While still on a mission of fighting demons, Pontifex Rembrary faces a lot of difficulties maintaining his new lifestyle at the same time.
“Holy Idol” is expected to premiere first half of 2023.
