“Anna” tells the story of a woman whose name is Yoo Mi whom because of small lies ends up living someone else’s life. Yoo Mi has a ripley’s syndrome a situation that involves confusing a false self for one’s actual self and trying to maintain peace of mind. As a result, she ends up living someone else’s life due to her small lies.
The teaser starts with Yumi saying: “people write lies in their own diary even when no one is reading “. Yumi is struggling with her everyday life, surviving off ramen noodles, engaging in different jobs as a part-timer to pay her bills and feed herself.
During her workday, she notices a beautiful and elegant woman in the room. While she overheard someone saying “I’m worried about Yumi the most, she wants to do many things and there’s so much she wants to try”. At some point, she said to herself “I was jealous” suddenly, she’s seen living a luxurious life, attending interviews, press conferences, and even getting married in an extravagant wedding. After someone asks Yumi “Do you have two different names?” her life has been upside down since then, and she says: “I don’t know where to start explaining. This is the story of how Yumi has become Anna“.
